Lubricity Additives
Polartech has an extremely effective range of products for improving the lubrication and extreme pressure properties of both neat oil and water based formulations.
Esters, sulphur and/or phosphorous containing products all provide an alternative to chlorine based chemistry. Polartech has the products and the expertise to assist customers in selecting their EP & Lubricity formulatory requirements.
Friction Modifiers
The Polartech range of friction modifiers of natural and synthetic esters are widely applicable in a variety of MWFs and applications.
NVL™ is derived from natural raw materials and is the ideal choice for creating a cost effective watermix metalworking fluid. This additive can be used effectively in traditional soluble oil to increase lubricity performance, especially in non-ferrous applications.
APL™ and SEL™ are synthetic, mono and poly-esters respectively. Both are hydrolytically stable and readily incorporated into semi-synthetic formulations. Used in combination they provide a chlorine free route to high performance fluids.
VPL™ is a synthetic ester package that has been optimised for use in high performance semi-synthetic formulations to provide the ideal balance of performance against cost.
SGL™ is a polyalklyene glycol derivative that is specifically designed for use in high performance fully synthetic watermix metalworking fluids. At elevated concentrations SGL™ can provide the backbone to a non-ferrous synthetic metalworking fluid.
PEL™ is a special fully water soluble lubricity additive which is sulphur, chlorine and phosphorus free. This product has a low pH, is low foaming and shows excellent lubricity performance across a wide temperature range.
PE™ Series
The PE™ series of products are reacted esters designed to act as load carrying agents in water-based fluids. They can be effective alternatives to chlorinated paraffins and sulphur-containing extreme pressure additives.
XP™ Series - Extreme Pressure Additives
The XP™ group of products is a range of extreme pressure (EP) additives that is predominantly chlorine free and is suitable for use in a wide variety of neat oils and watermix metalworking fluids. Light in colour and low odour, combined with excellent EP characteristics, allows the formulation of sophisticated high performance fluids.
