Polartech completes new High Bay warehouse
In one of the final stages of the re-development of their Manchester site, Polartech has just opened a new high bay warehouse.
The Project, which removed two older buildings from the site and removed all traces of asbestos construction materials as part of the Project, was completed in eight months in line with both time and cost plans.

“The key drivers for the Project” explained Group Project Manager, Roman Mikolajewicz, “were to fully comply with the Environment Agency guidelines to keep all packed product in a secure area at all times and to load vehicles without the packed product touching the ground between storage and transportation off-site.
“In addition, this Project also finally allows the optimum flow of materials and traffic on-site, streamlining our whole manufacturing operation”.
A further piece of the jigsaw will commence immediately with the construction of a laboratory extension beginning in January 2006.
Managing Director, Hugh Dowding commented “this is one of a number of concurrent Projects which are designed to improve our global manufacturing capability and shorten Supply Chains to customers.”
Polartech will complete the construction of a new, much larger, Plant in India in Q4 2006.
