The conference featured a packed itinerary with over thirty papers being delivered from the gathered panel of international experts.

The main theme of the conference was the progression of Russian oil companies to adopt international standards and conform with international trends. This subject was highlighted by the transition of the Russian automotive industry with increasing investment by major multi national manufacturers.

Polartech (with their recently appointed distributor ‘Larchfield Ltd’) have shown their commitment to the Russian market with their recent sponsorship. “We are in a position to offer both products and expertise to a rapidly developing Russian lubricant market” commented Bob Howard (Technical Support Manager).

Polartech also recognises the potential future development of Russia being one of the four ‘BRIC’ countries highlighted by Goldman Sachs. By 2050 it is predicted that the ‘BRIC’ countries (Brazil, Russia, China and India) will have a combined GDP higher than the current ‘G6’ countries. Recent investment in new ‘state of the art’ manufacturing facilities in India and China (due for completion mid 2007) highlight both the importance Polartech places on these emerging markets and on being able to supply products and services globally.
