Polartech launches two new additions to the Multitect™ range of corrosion inhibitors.
Polartech has recently announced the addition of two new products to its Multitect™ range of corrosion inhibitor additives for watermix metalworking fluids.
Polartech® Multitect™ AL is a liquid, aluminium specific corrosion inhibitor, based upon novel phosphorus free chemistry. The additive has been designed for use in a wide variety of formulations and is effective at very low concentrations.
Polartech® Multitect™ MZ is a liquid corrosion inhibitor, utilising proven phosphorus based chemistry, is used to prevent Aluminium, Magnesium and Zinc corrosion, and is effective at low concentrations.
The increasing manufacture of components utilising non-ferrous technology, especially where watermix industrial fluids are used, continues to provide a unique set of challenges. The protection of the alloy surfaces of these materials for both technical and aesthetic reasons is one such challenge and increasingly formulators need to provide a complete answer within a single fluid.
Against these requirements, Polartech have created a family of corrosion inhibitors specifically for non-ferrous applications with suitability across a wide variety of formulations. The additives have wide inventory compliance, are easy to handle and are effective at low concentrations. Additionally, a significant advantage is the potential for their use directly as tank side additions within the metalworking industry.
